Clippers' Paul George explains why Steph Curry is 'complete package' - NBC Sports Bay Area

Steph Curry is, has been, and will always be a headache for opposing teams.

Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers can certainly attest to that, surrendering 45 points to Curry in Golden State's 115-113 win Thursday night.

George was tasked with guarding Curry, and after the game, was asked why the Warriors' superstar is so difficult to defend against.

"I think that you just have to know where he's at," George told reporters after the game. "He's so good, he's just the complete package offensively. He's so good at shooting the three but he's also so good at getting open for layups. He's mastered how to get free without dribbling a ball. He's just so elusive and quick. One second you look away and he's gone. If you're not attached to him, he's gone. Honestly, it just takes a (whole team) to have an awareness of where he's at because one step and he's out of there.

"He shoots it so quick that you can't allow him to get free. That's just what it is, when he gets going like that, you gotta just crowd him and try to force him to play into his body. You gotta try to wear him out."

Thursday wasn't the first time George squared off against Curry, and it won't be the last. With both the Warriors and the Clippers fighting for a Western Conference playoff spot, the two will face off against one another three more times in the regular season, and possibly in the postseason.
