We’ve been waiting for quite some time for the Cubs to finalize the Josh Osich trade – do you even remember the Josh Osich trade? – and now they’ve finally done it.
I will not be making any jokes, though, because these guys already covered it in the cruelest possible fashion:
Bryant has been traded to the Red Sox. That's right-hander Zach Bryant, who heads to Boston as the PTBNL to complete last season's trade that brought lefty Josh Osich to the Cubs.

The Boston Red Sox have acquired Bryant from the Chicago Cubs — Zach Bryant, a 22-year-old right-hander. He's the PTBNL in the Josh Osich trade at last summer's deadline.

Bryant, 22, was the Cubs’ 15th rounder in 2019, which means he was in the draft class that we know particularly little about. He was a college reliever at Jacksonville University, which tells you only so much.
Osich, for his part, appeared in just four games for the Cubs after the midseason trade deadline last year. All the best to Bryant, but if he even makes it to AAA, the Red Sox will have done well.
