Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finished the first half against the Giants with more receiving touchdowns than passing.

Yes, you read that correctly.

With 23 seconds remaining in the second quarter, the Cowboys pulled off a trick play that resulted in an 11-yard touchdown pass from Cedrick Wilson to Prescott.

Prescott became the second Cowboys quarterback to catch a touchdown pass in franchise history. Danny White had both of the previous touchdown receptions in 1985 and 1983.

It was also the first time a non-quarterback threw a touchdown pass for the Cowboys since Dez Bryant connected with Jason Witten on a 10-yard touchdown pass against Detroit on Dec. 26, 2016.

The play was reminiscent of the Philadelphia Eagles “Philly Special” during the 2018 Super Bowl, which resulted in a touchdown for quarterback Nick Foles.

While the Cowboys' play was similar, there were some differences in its execution. It was the “Dallas Special."
