Mounties from the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP joined their colleagues across the country at 10 a.m. local time Friday for a moment of silence and reflection for Const. Heidi Stevenson, and the other victims of the tragedy in Nova Scotia earlier this week.

Officers stood at both Charles Hoey Park and their Canada Avenue detachment.

Const. Stevenson was killed April 19 while on duty in Nova Scotia. She was responding to an active shooter incident.
