An ABC presenter has called out a man for making 'disgraceful' homophobic remarks about his colleague who participated in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.
News Breakfast host Michael Rowland voiced his disgust over slurs sent to weather presenter Nate Byrne.
Byrne uploaded a video of himself dancing on the ABC float at the Mardi Gras on Saturday night.
'So proud to be part of #MardiGras2020... first time for both me AND for your ABC. The team smashed it. Thanks to the crowd for all of the love!' Byrne tweeted.
But Byrne, a proud gay man, was met with criticism from a homophobic social media user.

News Breakfast host Michael Rowland announced his disgrace over slurs sent to his colleague Nate Byrne during Monday morning's programme
'P****er, now you know why I won't watch News breakfast! This is a very sick world we live in,' a man said in a post sent to Byrne's Instagram direct messages.
Rowland responded on Monday morning's program.
'You might have seen on social media Nate was the subject of some disgusting, some disgraceful homophobic comments which we think are just appalling,' Rowland told viewers.
'Who's that in the hot pants?' Rowland asked as he played a a video from the Mardi Gras parade in Sydney to celebrate gay pride.
'It's great to see Nate having a great time,' he said.
'We are so proud not just of Nate but all of our colleagues, and everyone else involved.
'One for all the homophobes out there,' the video's caption read.
Byrne also aired his frustration over the Twitter user's comments.
'Mail's in. It IS a sick world we live in - one where this kind of unprovoked spray of hatred is still on the cards. This is why we march,' he tweeted on Sunday.
