Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger is taking aim at a House Republican colleague from Illinois, Rep. Mary Miller, for allowing a man convicted of soliciting sex with a minor to assist with her reelection campaign efforts.
Kinzinger on Thursday blasted Miller’s association with Bradley Graven, a former contractor for the state treasurer who pleaded guilty to charges following a sting operation in 2005 in which he contacted a police officer who posed as a minor in an internet chat room. Kinzinger, who has broken with House Republican colleagues over their support of former President Donald Trump, also facetiously questioned if House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) would take disciplinary action against Miller.
GOP HOUSE MEMBER DRAWS FIRE OVER CHILD SEX PREDATOR'S REELECTION CAMPAIGN ROLE
“I’m curious why @Miller_Congress has a groomer/ child sex offender involved with her campaign? WHY are they ALWAYS Republicans? What will @GOPLeader do?” Kinzinger, a vocal Trump critic who is slated to retire, tweeted.
The Washington Examiner reported Wednesday that Graven has been seen driving the congresswoman's family's vehicle to campaign events on three occasions and was responsible for collecting more than 50% of the signatures needed for Miller to appear on the ballot. Miller was first elected in 2020 and is seeking reelection in a new district along the Missouri state line that takes in the suburbs of St. Louis and some rural areas.
The development has been met with sharp backlash from Miller's critics, with one source noting that her family-run summer camp previously featured twice-removed Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore as a speaker and that her husband, state Rep. Chris Miller, donated to former Illinois state House candidate Tom McCullagh, who exited his race after being accused of grooming an underage person. McCullagh has publicly denied the accusations.

Miller, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump in a heated member-versus-member primary against Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL) in a newly created congressional district, did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.
The primary election is slated to take place on June 28.
