J&J’s compensation report is in and the pharma giant’s then-CEO Alex Gorsky — now executive chairman — bagged another rich pay package for 2021, which will likely leave him near the top of the list of highest-paid pharma executives.
According to J&J, Gorsky raked in right around $26.7 million, a $2.8 million drop compared to his package of cash, stock and extras worth $29,575,974 last year. However, that income still keeps him well above Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks, who made $23 million, and Bristol Myers Squibb’s Giovanni Caforio, who claimed $20 million in 2021 income.
